Features of Humanoid Robot
We develop and sell humanoid robot "HAJIME ROBOT" series.
Universities and research institutes use our humanoid robots, which have wining experience at robot contests, as a platform robot in the field of robotics research or entertainment research.
We also provide design services of humanoid robot from scratch according to customer's requirements.
Here are the features of our humanoid robot below.
Feature 1. High performance humanoid robots, which have experience of victory at robot contests
The robots are designed based on the development experiences from H"AJIME ROBOT 1" in 2002 to "HAJIME ROBOT 43" in 2011.
We provide a high performance and reliable humanoid robot platform which has a winning experience at international soccer robot contest "RoboCup".
When a team who will participate in RoboCup humanoid league Kid size, we sell a humanoid robot platform kit which is the same hardware as the victory robot at RoboCup and satisfies the latest RoboCup regulation.

Feature 2. Customizable robot frame according to customer requirements
Modification of one robot part and design from scratch are available according to customer's requirements. When an autonomous controller, a camera, the height of the robot, and the number of joints are changed, we will redesign and suggest the robot frame to get the best performance of the robot.
Feature 3. High scalability of programming comes from good system design and sample source of the robot
The robot system is configured with servo motors, sensors, a motion controller, and an autonomous controller.
Walking program and special action program in the motion controller is written in C programming language.
The firmware program in the motion controller can also be modified by users using our development environment on a Windows notebook PC.
Commercially available Windows PC board (Pico-ITX size) as an autonomous controller, which governs image processing and autonomous processing of the robot, can be mounted in the body.
Image from a camera connected to the USB port can be programmed to perform image processing using DirectShow (Microsoft Multimedia Development Tools) and OpenCV (Intel C/C++ libraries for computer vision), for example.
*The firmware program of the motion controller is free of charge for academic use.
Feature 4. Ease of use of the robot control by built-in firmware
Because the firmware program has been written in the motion controller in advance, it is possible to have the robot walk immediately after the purchase. The robot, which connected via RS232C serial communications with the autonomous controller or an external PC, is operated by receiving motion commands.
Feature 5. Reasonable price and ease of maintenance comes from the use of commercial component and module structure design
The robot which is adopted a cost-effective commercially available servo motors is reasonable price. If a servo motor or a robot frame was broken down, we can provide even one part to replace it. We have assembly workshop (free of charge) in Japan for the users who purchased our robot, so that the users can learn maintenance of their robot.
